We acknowledge and are grateful for the land we have settled on that is the traditional territory of the Stó:lō First Nations. Empowered By Horses and Friends works toward Reconciliation by nurturing our relationship with the land and animals and honouring the people who were here before us.

Empowered By Horses and Friends gratefully acknowledges the financial support of the BCTRA in contributing to our ongoing growth and development and to deepening our professional knowledge in Equine and Animal Assisted Wellness.

During the COVID shutdown BCTRA grants helped feed and care for our horses when there was little or no business income. Upon reopening BCTRA monies assisted our transition to new safety protocols.

BCTRA  funds helped us complete the tack and feed room in our new barn and partially paid for staff training in well-researched animal-assisted modalities. BCTRA support is opening the door for us to become leaders in the field.

We appreciate the opportunity to be recipients of these generous grants.

We are so fortunate to have hosted so many travellers at Anam Cara Farm and Learning Center. Since the fall of 2019 when we welcomed our first Woofer, we have met so many amazing and wonderful individuals who have worked hard to contribute to the care of the animals and more importantly, the farmily we have created. We are beyond grateful for this opportunity.
