After saying goodbye to three beloved border collies, Meg, Will and Zorra, we began our search for a similar breed that would be suitable for both farm life and a therapeutic business. My sister shared with us an ethical and diligent breeder who was located ten provinces away in New Brunswick! But after careful consideration we found Roseridge Miniature Shepards’ was the best choice by far.
Both River and Rye are deeply loved canine family members.
River (born 2021)
River is smart as a whip and truly enjoys his humans. He loves to be challenged both mentally and physically, but also has great fun and crazy play with sister, Rye. He likes being the center of attention with his after-dinner tricks and loves going for rides with Steve. We have many belly roaring laughs with River and love him to bits.
Rye (born 2023)
Rye shares the same mom as River and was clearly meant to be part of the family. Steve, in fact, had picked her out of the litter when only a few hours old. With the help of her breeder, Catherine, we watched her grow from the other side of the country and when she was ready to be weaned, we were there. Although Rye is a quiet dog and is calm with people, she can’t help but run up to anybody she sees and show her love with waggy tails and smiles. She is also more than capable to whip it up and challenge River in a game of chase.
